We are excited to announce that the Utrecht Journal of International and European Law (UJIEL) is now accepting submissions for its upcoming general issue, Issue 41(1). This is a wonderful opportunity for scholars, practitioners, and students to contribute to the development of international and European law.

About UJIEL

UJIEL is a diamond open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed, student-led journal affiliated with Utrecht University. Our mission is to provide an international forum for interaction between academia, practitioners, and students, and to contribute to the advancement of legal scholarship in the fields of international and European law.

Submission Categories

We welcome contributions in the following categories:

  • Research Articles: 7.000 to 10.000 words, including footnotes and references. Articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
  • Case Notes: Approximately 2000 to 3000 words, analyzing a recent case or cases relevant to international or European law.
  • Book Reviews: Approximately 1500 to 2500 words, covering recently published books in the field.
  • Interviews: Approximately 1500 to 2500 words, providing insights into a person’s views or experiences related to international or European law.
  • Conference Reports: Up to 8000 words, providing insights into contemporary academic debates.
